Many hands make light work
We are the Lord's hands
Overview
To provide the opportunity for guests to the temple to fully experience the spirit of the temple, volunteers fill various roles to facilitate the flow of guests and provide an environment conducive to the spirit both in and throughout the temple grounds.
Â
The first interaction guests will have will be parking. During peek times this can be frustrating. Parking attendants ease that by directing them to open spots and explaining where to go to start their tour.

Sister Missionaries will guide the guests to the gathering place, direct them toward the shoe covering stations and greet the guests as they exit the temple with the primary purpose of ensuring an uplifting experience.
Â
Shoe covering attendants assist the guests with both putting on the white shoe coverings at the start of the tour and taking them off at the end. This helps preserve the cleanliness of the temple.
Â
Ushers are positioned at the entrance and in specific locations in the temple. They direct guests along the tour path to facilitate the flow.

The room presenters are stationed at limited locations in the temple and are provided talking points that explain the purpose of the various rooms.Â

An attendance counter is near the entrance and records the official attendance for each day.

Physical facilities ensures the temple, surrounding property, and restrooms are clean at the start of every day and maintained clean during the day. They also assist with physical set up and take down activities.

Safety and security addresses health related issues that arise and addresses any disruptive behavior.

Translators are on site to assist non-English speaking guests.

Whew! That is a lot of volunteers at any one time let alone over multiple shifts of the 14 days of the public open house. There are also a few volunteer opportunities for the invited guests days prior to the public open house. YES! You are needed and very much appreciated!
The other roles are by assignment. Contact your local priesthood leader to express interest.
